PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota senators approved a ban on drone use for property tax assessments yesterday. Todd Epp has more. VERBATIM: The Commerce Committee voted 5-to-2 to prohibit assessors from using unmanned aircraft after hearing concerns about privacy and livestock safety. A professional surveyor and state senator says that no county assessors currently use drones. Bill supporters say drones can violate privacy and harass livestock. I’m Todd Epp reporting.
