Mitchell
The Kernel baseball team took on the Pierre Governors in a doubleheader yesterday afternoon. They ended up splitting the games with the Governors. Winning Game 1, 2-0 and dropping Game 2, 8-3. Next, they will play again today when they head to Sioux Falls to face Sioux Falls Lincoln at 6pm.
The varsity boys tennis team will compete again this afternoon in Mitchell. They will have a Varsity Dual on the road in Sioux Falls at Noon against Sioux Falls Jefferson and then take on Sioux Falls Lincoln at 4pm.
The Lady Kernel softball teams retake the field today. They’ll get set to play O’Gorman on the road. The JV will play first at 4pm and the varsity will follow at 6pm, all at Sherman Park.
Dakota Wesleyan
The Tiger men’s golf team will be in competition again today. They will play once more in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships in Beatrice, NE. After day one, they sit in fourth place as a team and three guys in the Top 10. Dakota Munger & Connor Calahan are tied for sixth and Peyton Bettcher sits in fourth. They will continue play at the Beatrice Golf Course this morning again at 9am.
The Tiger baseball team took on the Valley City State Vikings yesterday in their final non-conference game. They slipped in the single game matchup to the Vikings, 7-2. Next, they will face Concordia in a four-game series to round out the regular season with two games on Friday & Saturday at Drake Field in Mitchell. (updated)

The Minnesota Twins get back to the field today. They are set to host the Chicago White Sox in Minnesota at 6:40pm.
NBA
The NBA playoffs continued with a pair of Game 2’s last night. The No. 6 seed Detroit Pistons tied up the series 1-1 with the No. 3 seed New York Knicks, beating them 100-94. Then it was the No. 4 seed Denver Nuggets and No. 5 seed Los Angeles Clippers in another dogfight. The Clippers were able to take this win, 105-102 and even the series at 1-1. A trio of Game 2’s are on the schedule today. It’s the No. 5 seed Milwaukee Bucks at the No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers at 6pm on NBATV, the No. 8 seed Memphis Grizzlies at the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder at 6:30pm on TNT/TruTV/MAX and the night ends with the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves at the No. 3 seed Los Angeles Lakers at 9pm on TNT/TruTV/MAX.
