The Lady Kernels softball team’s Matteah Graves was selected to the ESD All-Conference team. She posted a batting average of .351, a slugging percentage of .667, and a .962 fielding percentage.
Amateur Baseball
The Mitchell Aces were in action last night on the road. They took on the Dell Rapids Mudcats and fell, 7-5. Next, the Aces will play again this Sunday at the Parkston Rays at 5pm.

The Stanley Cup Finals continue with Game 2 tonight. The Florida Panthers will be at the Edmonton Oilers, who lead the series 1-0. The game will start at 7pm on TNT/TruTV/MAX.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins played their final game of the series yesterday afternoon. It was the Oakland Athletics who took the final game by a score of 14-3. Next, Minnesota will host the Toronto Blue Jays tonight at 7:10pm.
WNBA
The league had a pair of games last night and a pair tonight as well. Last night’s results included the New York Liberty taking down the Washington Mystics, 86-78, and the Phoenix Mercury defeated the Golden State Valkyries, 86-77. Tonight, you’ll have the Atlanta Dream at the Connecticut Sun at 6:30pm and the Los Angeles Sparks at the Dallas Wings at 8:30pm. Both games will be on ION.
NBA
The NBA Finals had Game 1 last night, and it was a battle that came down to the final minutes of the game. It was the No. 4 seed Indiana Pacers taking down the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder at the buzzer, 111-110. Tyrese Haliburton nailed the game-winner with 0.3 seconds to go to steal Game 1 in OKC. Game 2 between the two teams will be on Sunday at 7pm on ABC.
