MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Chances are strong Sioux Falls will remain home to the men’s state penitentiary. The Project Prison Reset Task force is recommending construction of a new 15 hundred bed prison in northeast Sioux Falls, with a 650-million dollar price cap. Task Force chair, Lieutenant Governor Tony Venhuizen called the group to support the plan. The vote was unanimous in support of the plan.
