Mitchell Basketball

The Kernel basketball teams are all in action tonight in Mitchell. They’ll be in the Mitchell high school hosting Yankton. It’ll begin with boys and girls JV playing at 3:30pm with girls in the main gym and boys in the auxiliary gym. Followed by the sophomore games at 4:45pm with girls still in the main gym and boys in the auxiliary gym. The freshman boys’ game will be at 6pm in the auxiliary gym. Then of course varsity ends the night in the main gym with the girls playing first at 6pm and then the (RV) Kernel boys after starting at 7:30pm.

Mitchell Gymnastics

The Kernel gymnastics team will hit the mats and beams tomorrow afternoon. They’ll be at Brookings high school taking on the Bobcats in a Varsity Invitational. It begins at 11am.

Mitchell Hockey

The Marlins girls hockey team return to the ice tonight in Mitchell. They’ll host Watertown in the Mitchell Activities Center in the Toshiba Rink. The puck will drop at 8pm.

DWU Wrestling

The Tiger men’s wrestling team will be competing today. They’ll be in Marshall, MO wrestling in the Burns Athletic Center. The action begins at 10am.

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams are playing again tomorrow afternoon. It’ll be another doubleheader, and they will host Mount Marty. The No. 10 women’s basketball team will play at 2pm and the men will play at 3:45pm.

DWU Track & Field

The Tiger men’s and women’s track & field teams are competing tomorrow. They’ll be at the Dordt Indoor Open in Sioux Center, Iowa.

SDSU Basketball

The Jackrabbit men’s basketball team took on Denver yesterday in Brookings, SD. SDSU got themselves a much needed win at home last night, taking down Denver, 87-79. Damon Wilkinson led the way with 19 points. The Jackrabbit women are set to play tomorrow afternoon when they host Oral Roberts at First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings, SD at 1pm.  It will air on the Summit League Network.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers last night in Minneapolis, MN. They had their fourth straight game of 120+ points and fourth straight win after taking down the Cavs, 131-122. Julius Randle led the way with 28 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Anthony Edwards scored 25 points in this game and became the third youngest player behind LeBron James & Kevin Durant to reach 10,000 points.
