Mitchell Softball
The Kernel softball teams were supposed to begin their season tonight, but that will no longer happen. They were supposed to face the Pierre Governors on the road, but that game has been postponed to May 14 due to weather conditions.
DWU Baseball
The Tiger baseball team took on the Briar Cliff Chargers last night in a doubleheader. It ended up being a tough day for the Tigers as they did not win either of the two games. Losing 10-5 in the first game and 3-2 in the second. Good news is they will get another shot at the Chargers tomorrow afternoon when the Tigers host Military & First Responders Day at Drake Field. The first pitch for the doubleheader will be at 1pm.
DWU Golf
The Tiger women’s golf team kicked off the Augie Spring Invitational in Sioux Falls, SD at Elmwood Golf Course yesterday. In the one-day event competing against nothing but Division II competition, the Tigers finished in 11th place of the 12 teams competing. DWU managed to have one athlete in the Top 10 and it was Allison Meyerink who tied for 7th with 12 over par after shooting a 78 (+3) in both rounds.

The Tiger softball team will be playing tomorrow afternoon, and they’ll be on the road. DWU will travel to Forest City, IA to take on the Waldorf Warriors. It’ll be a doubleheader with the first pitch at 2pm at Forest City high school.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins played ball again yesterday and were able to get back in the win column. They hosted the Detroit Tigers and managed a 7-3 victory. They now sit at 4-6 overall and 2-2 at home. The two teams will play again tonight at 6:40pm on MLBTV.
NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves return to the court tonight as they try to rise in the Western Conference standings. They’ll travel to Indianapolis, IN to face the Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Tipoff is set for 6pm.
