MITCHELL SD (Mitchell Now) A year ago, the city announced a plan to construct a roundabout along North Ohlman Street between West 23rd and Kemper Avenues in conjunction with nearly a $4 million utility project last year and after almost a year, the roundabout nears its completion.

The roundabout construction began in May following the closure of the intersection. By August, crews had poured concrete, and it began to take shape. Since then, substantial progress has been made, with new asphalt paving, painted road markings and poured sidewalks bringing the project closer to completion.

City officials have not yet announced an official reopening date despite the extensive work that has been finished. The intersection remains closed, and motorists are encouraged to continue using alternate routes until the roadway is reopened to traffic.
